Long Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACH’s) are separately licensed and operated to treat medically complex patients who have an average length of stay of 25 days. LTACH’s play a critical role in the continuum of care between the acute care hospital and other post care settings such as skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation facilities and home health.
